Excerpts of the Teachings of Myket, compiled by his followers
as recorded in Tranquility Valley
1. The wise ones will hear, and increase learning; those that seek understanding will listen to the wise.
2. By wisdom intent maketh itself known, but only for those who listen with the heart.
3. For where can one find the mysteries of creation? But not both inside and outside of oneself.
4. Measure the blades of grass and find naught about the world, but the field creates a masterpiece of meaning
5. Are we not but a blade of grass? Are we not more than a sum of our countenance?
6. There is indeed a time and place to catalog every thistle and thorn, but to understand we must find our whole.
7. For every flower may be an individual seed, but only with the pollen of every flower can it grow.
8. Where do the roots of the mighty trees grow? Are they not a plant that has risen from care and rain?
9. Oh the rain comes! Let it fill the well, that it may never run dry.
10. But what follows the rain? The colors in the sky? The worms of the ground?
11. Do the colors in the sky distract the birds as they seek the worms? For what is the focus found?
12. Search inside, find the eyes of the eagle in the mind. For only when the focus of the great bird is within can one truly see outside oneself.
13. And what is to be found outside oneself but others? What is this understanding for?
14. Every mouse found in the field seeks shelter and seed, what is sought among those that till the field?
15. Our duty is to find and aid. The eyes of the eagle to find the mice of the field, not to devour but to shelter.
16. Healing of the needy can be found in the dust and sunlight; only when understanding is administered can they be healed.
17. The sun rises again and again, where can the freedom of the mind be found within but the sunbeams as it begins again?
18. Another day, another opportunity to begin anew.
19. To begin anew, can we not imagine from the stars in the sky? For as one passes beyond it leaves only a new star in its wake.
20. Is it the new iteration of the same star? Or perhaps another generation or child destined to shine brighter?
21. But brighter it will shine, to give light to the many.
as recorded at the Mouth of the Wildlands
1. Gather to listen to the fool, for he can teach how to survive in the coldest nights.
2. But to learn to find the path may take the stars in the sky, and the wise fool may only see their twinkling light.
3. For every mystery has an answer.
4. Seek to know the past, for only there is the future found.
5. Every boulder was formed by the winds and seas, study them to know the ground.
6. The mysteries of the energies within and around are only seeking refuge, find the second soul and explore where it can take you.
7. Search vigilantly to find these answers.
as recorded at an unknown location
1. Our future is only defined by those we impact.
2. A man was digging by the riverbank and found the bones of a turtle long past.
3. The shell was found intact, and he placed it upon his mantle.
4. The turtle was seen by many, but its story was never known.
5. What was the story of the turtle? Was it of the rivers and seas? Indeed there is another story more grand.
6. But the story known is that the turtle shell sits on the mantle.
7. What will one's story be? Are we destined to be a shell on a mantle or a legacy of our deeds and virtues?
8. But how do we define our legacy?
9. By our children we see our name continue. What shall they be taught?
10. For children can be the arrows of a mighty warrior; they may miss the mark, but the direction we teach can influence their lives for better or worse.
11. Every seed we plant can grow to its full potential; a tree to astounding height and the flower to true beauty.
12. But our plants need nurture and care. The rains and winds can help and hinder every step of growth.
13. So what can be done to help growth? To find the richest soil there must be care given.
14. Find soil with great growth and other plants, then tend to all of them.
15. For the flower only grows if the field flourishes.
16. Love every plant, for love grows us all.
as recorded by the side of the Pir'yc River
1. The mighty river flows around us every day, even when we are far from water.
2. The riptides can pull one under, completely unforgiving in nature. But does it not give the large waves in the wake?
3. Search the still waters with caution, to fight the current can be dangerous.
4. But if pulled under, fight we must; to live we must make our way back to shore.
5. And will the waves be stronger than limbs? For each is different in capacity, and the waves are indiscriminate in their strength.
6. Find the strength within, find the way to shore, and warn of the dangers of the tides.
as recorded on the isle of Brimster
1. When the leaves of the tree fall, they seek new life.
2. But this journey is not of their own design; the winds are the master of this leaf.
3. Are we the leaf? Do we define ourselves as one that flows with every gust and billow?
4. And what of the rock? Does a sure foundation hold against the wind, or does the way stagnate?
5. Draw the line between the rock and the leaf. The whirlwind can lift or deject every leaf, but the rock is untouched in all but the mightiest of storms.
6. Where does one stand in this turmoil? Chaos or stagnation? Where can one find balance?
7. Assess the winds as they come, find the ones to drift upon and the ones to take refuge from.
8. Balance will allow the winds to change exactly what is needed; search for the winds of positive change and learn to grow within them.
as recorded at the Grand Fountain
1. The heart gives us our strength and resolve.
2. Where is the heart of our shattered world? The core cannot be the center anymore, not for the world that is above our skies.
3. Has our heart shifted? We stand before this grand fountain directly opposite our vast ocean, and see it rise to the heights of the sky.
4. Is this the heart? Do we stand on the ground of a new center for every being in the world?
5. We must together build this world with our hearts, that we may come together and find the true heart of this world.
6. For only of the true desire to become one can this world be healed.
7. Take upon resolve, strengthen the foundations. Search out the most skilled amongst yourselves and seek their counsel.
8. Build this great heart here, at this grand fountain. Let the heart grow and expand, that all may feel it coursing through themselves.
9. For here is the heart of Onfractus, this grand fountain has our life and soul, and every part of our history. But we can only find this if we come together and shape the world.
10. Seek this heart with your whole soul, find it rooted here in this grand fountain of unification.
